Snow Clam - 24 June 07

Choose to cook snow clam after heavy meal to balance back the diet. Snow clam need to be soak for overnight before can use. I use ginseng root, red dates, wolf berries, some rock sugars to boil with the cleaned snow clam. Can serve in cold or hot. Taste refreshing if eat in cold.

Roast Pork Vermicelli - 24 June 07

Once in a while I will miss this kind of heavy food - roast pork....

Breakfast - 24 June 07





1. Bake the bread and ham (I use wholemeal bread) in oven for a while, to make it more crispy.
2. Fry the egg in wok and put it on top of the ham
3. 3rd layer will be cheese, and put into oven to melt the cheese.
4. Can put some chilli sauce and thousand island.
5. Eat with a cup of hot coffee or honey lemon juice.
6. Can add in some cucumber or vegetable.

Double yolk egg - 24 June 07


Found double egg yolks in 1 of the egg which Im gonna use it for my breakfast.

Korean Pancakes

My husband said this is so call korean pancakes, I also not so sure what should it call....but anyway, the taste is nice..Outside is crispy and inside is soft.
I use a lot of cabbage, onion, anchovies, chilli padi...and for the batter, I use plain flour, water, egg, and a pinch of salt..
Put a bit of thousand island and chilli sauce, it will taste nicer...

Bak Chang (Dumpling)

Today is bak chang day, and I bought 2 bak chang from shop, 1 is with salt egg and pork , and the other one without salt egg. Then the shop's taukeh give me another small bakchang for free.So nice of him....And I bring back one from office, sapu from 1 of my colleague... All the bakchang nowadays damn expensive, 1 bakchang need rm2.5 without salt egg and rm3 with salt egg......sweat... My friend ask me whether I know how to make bakchang, I learn before from my mil a few years ago, so not sure still can make it now, not dare to try.....Coz with the tedious step, like wash the leaves, soak the rice, need to fry the pork, and the most scary things is need to pao the bakchang 1 by one....fuyoh...so troublesome......Too lazy for me to make it...Mayb next time when Im older and become siu nai nai at home and do nothing, then can consider loh.....kekeke...( So my dardar, pls work hard a bit, so that i can sit at home and make bakchang for you).Both of us love bakchang a lot...

Bean Paste Bak Kut - 3 June 07

My favourite (my mummy's recipe) - bean paste bak kut. Use a lot of garlic, shallots, and bean paste. Chopped until very fine. Marinate bak kut with dark soya sauce and sugar. Saute garlic, shallots and bean paste until aromatic, then add in bak kut. Cook until bak kut is soft.
